Xaero’s Minimap Mod for Minecraft possesses a very clear and harmonious interface with the Minecraft world. You can set the waypoint manually, and even the deadpoint is automatically created when you are killed. In Xaero’s Minimap Mod 1.12.1 / 1.11.2, the waypoint is created quickly when pressing B button and you can teleport if you want. The player also has the option to view them in the game or hide them. In a hidden state, they are still in the list and when you want to see it, you just need to press U. However, the coolest thing about Xaero’s Minimap Mod is that it detects when you’re underground. This feature is extremely useful when you are traveling in a cave, mining or needing to see where you are going. Combined with waypoint, you will never get lost again.
