Nexus 7 and 4 spotted running new build, possibly Android 5.0 We’re just getting over the fact that Android 4.3 has been officially announced by the powers that be over at Google, yet it seems that they may be already testing internally a future version of Android on their Nexus devices. An unconfirmed and as-yet unrecognized Android build has reared its head in the Chromium bug tracker.

The build, KRS36B, is definitely something to raise your eye over. The previous builds for Jelly Bean have all been denoted with the ”J” preceeding the number. Could this be an indication that Android 5.0,Key Lime Pie, is already being tested by Google?

Of course, a build number doesn’t confirm anything, but only adds fuel to the fire. It’s well known that Google starts testing out new builds as soon as they’re ready, so it may come as no surprise that a Key Lime Pie build, at least in the very rudimentary stages, may be alive and breathing behind Google’s closed doors.
