The NBA 2K22 is here, and let’s be honest – it’s going to be a big year for the franchise. In the world of basketball, there are only two years that have simultaneously seen the release of multiple top-notch video games: 1994 & 2012. That being said, many things have changed in regards to game licensing in 2017. This means that with each launch of a new game, we’ll need to understand its content better in order to make informed product placement decisions. Thankfully, we’ve got your back with this list of everything you need to know about The Big Episode 13: The NBA 2K22 Release Date, Ratings, and Every Feature You Want To Know.
NBA 2K22 is the sequel to NBA 2K16, and it’s a brand new basketball game for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game features the same roster of players as its predecessor – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade Jr., Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Love.
The main focus of the game is on basketball gameplay. Players will be able to play in an online multiplayer mode with up to four other players or in local co-op mode with up to two people each. Online play will also feature a “Team Mode” where you can create your own team of friends using a variety of different sports equipment such as sneakers and jerseys. There will also be a “Player Management” section that allows you to manage which players are available for each team while controlling them via control pad controls (a la NBA 2K15).
NBA 2K22 also has some new additions to the franchise including new uniforms for all five teams – Miami Heat (white), New York Knicks (blue), Los Angeles Lakers (orange), Chicago Bulls (red), and Houston Rockets (black). The jerseys are designed by Nike, who have previously worked on the uniforms for several NBA franchises including Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
