The Extra Utilities mod for Minecraft 1.12.2 adds new blocks to aid in building and adds a new dimension called the deep dark. The mod introduces the Angel Block, which allows players to start building in the air without needing to build a land bridge or tower. It also includes a conveyor system for transporting items and a mass storage barrel for storing large amounts of liquid. Compressed blocks and wings for flying are also included. The mod is designed to make the game more functional and includes decorative blocks and a trash can for easy item disposal.
The Extra Utilities mod adds a bunch of new blocks to the game to aid in your building experience. It gives you some neat functional blocks and even a new dimension called the deep dark, which seems to be a massive cave full of cobblestone and mobs and a large underground castle.
The Angel Block is a fantastic tool for starting off a build up in the air. If you’ve ever wanted to build high or maybe a bridge across a body of water, typically you’d need to build a land bridge and/or tower from the ground first and then destroy those blocks later. With the Angel Block you can place it anywhere you want in open space by simply right clicking. So now you can start building anywhere!
You can set up a conveyer system for transportation of dropped items. You can even use it for travel as well. Just step on it and it will pull you in whatever direction it’s set to. It works without power so there’s no need to add a redstone system for it to function.
There are a couple of mass storage barrels for either lava or water. Just add via bucket and they will hold an incredible amount liquid.
Compressed blocks are expanded with this mod as well. You can compress cobblestone up to eight times giving you more than 43,000,000 pieces in one block. Dirt can compress up to four times and gravel and sand twice.
You can now craft wings for flying around outside of creative mode. They work the same as creative flying as long as you have them somewhere in your inventory.
A neat one block redstone clock can now be crafted for easy repeater systems.
And there’s a few new decorative blocks with brick and glass. Plus gravel has some new functional blocks in brick form. Now you can place gravel like any other block without it falling if the block below is removed.
This mod is really handy with compact utilities that make the game that much more functional. Even the simplest of functions is now a single block like the trash can making the disposal of items super simple and stylish.
Table Extra Utilities is a mod for Minecraft that adds various utility blocks and items to the game. While there are several mods that offer similar features and functionality, each of them has its own unique characteristics. Here is a comparison of Table Extra Utilities with some other similar mods:
1. Applied Energistics 2: Applied Energistics 2 is a mod that focuses on providing advanced storage, automation, and resource management systems. It allows players to create ME systems that can store and process vast amounts of items and fluids. Unlike Table Extra Utilities, Applied Energistics 2 does not have a specific emphasis on utility blocks and items, making it more suitable for players looking for sophisticated automation and storage solutions.
2. Thermal Expansion: Thermal Expansion is a mod that adds a variety of machines and devices for energy production, item processing, and environmental control. It introduces tools such as portable tanks, dynamos, and pulverizers, which can be used to generate energy, process ores, and transmute materials. Unlike Table Extra Utilities, Thermal Expansion is more focused on industrial automation and machine-based gameplay, making it suitable for players who want to create complex processing systems.
3. Extra Utils 2: Extra Utils 2 is a similar mod to Table Extra Utilities, as it also adds various utility blocks and items to Minecraft. It offers a range of features such as energy transfer devices, decorative blocks, automation systems, and dimension creation tools. Both Table Extra Utilities and Extra Utils 2 are frequently compared due to their similar names and overlapping functionality. However, Extra Utils 2 has a larger variety of utility blocks and items, offering more options for players to enhance their gameplay.
4. Ender IO: Ender IO is a mod that combines technology and magic elements in Minecraft. It introduces a range of machines, conduits, and tools that allow for item transportation, item processing, and energy transfer. Ender IO stands out for its focus on ender-themed technologies and its compatibility with other popular mods like Thermal Expansion and Applied Energistics 2. It also has a unique feature called the “Soul Binder,” which allows players to bind souls to items for additional properties. Table Extra Utilities, on the other hand, offers a wider variety of utility blocks and items, but does not have specific ender-themed gameplay mechanics like Ender IO.
In summary, Table Extra Utilities is a mod that adds various utility blocks and items to Minecraft, providing players with additional convenience and functionality. While there are other mods that offer similar features, each of them has its own distinct characteristics and focuses on different aspects of gameplay, such as storage and automation in the case of Applied Energistics 2 or energy production and item processing in the case of Thermal Expansion.
