Lenovo to preload Bluestacks’s Android App Player

Lenovo to preload Bluestacks’s Android App Player on its Idea-branded PCs.

Looks like Bluestacks is making an encouraging progress to bring its Android App Player to more (I mean a lot) machines this year. Last year, the partnership of Bluestacks with AMD brought the Android experience to AMD-powered desktops running Windows 8 and also Windows 7. Now, Bluestacks has announced the partnership with Lenovo, the world’s largest PC maker.

With the partnership, Lenovo has agreed to pre-load Bluestacks App Player on the Idea-branded consumer PCs. With this, the agreement will see millions of PCs shipped each year with the BlueStacks App Player. If you haven’t heard about Bluestacks App Player before, it’s a free software that port Android apps on your PC as well as Mac.

On other news, BlueStacks is scheduled to unveil a newer version of its App Player that runs on Windows 8 ultrabooks, laptops, and tablets later this month. The launch is expected to take place around the same time Microsoft brings its Surface Pro tablet officially to the market.
