Fingerprint Scanner’s HTC One Max arrive on October 17th

Fingerprint Scanner’s HTC One Max arrive on October 17th. Or so says Taiwanese tipster ePrice, which also has the device tipped at a price of 23,900 yuan which is, more or less, $800. This sounds about right and the date seems possible too, considering the official announcement of the Max version of the One has been delayed a few times. This will most likely coincide with the launch of Google’s Nexus 5 if the speculations are true.

We still don’t know for sure if the HTC One Max will have a fingerprint scanner but most of the leak pictures consistently have a suspicious looking square on the back. Add to this the images from TENAA (Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center) – the Chinese FCC – that briefly surfaced on the web a little while ago, and it looks pretty likely. Considering Apple’s inclusion of it and Samsung’s interest it certainly makes more sense than a mini trackpad (it could even be both). Either way it’s going to be several weeks before we find out. The current list of expected specifications are:
